Italy

I think you can spend a whole lifetime (or several) in Italy and still not see all that this country has to offer. Every small town is cute and has so much history. Vino is an all-day drink and every meal you have will be incredible!

Visiting Italy

Getting to Italy is pretty easy! There are several international airports up and down the country and frequent flights between cities. However, train travel will likely be your preferred method of transit as it’s both (relatively) cheap and convenient. Public transit in Italy is pretty good, except for the occasional transit strike in Rome that will leave you waiting for a bus for 2 hours.

When to visit Italy?

Year-round! There is no wrong time to visit Italy. From the snow-capped Dolomites to the beaches of Capri, you can make an Italy visit any time of the year. That said, Italy thrives in the summertime whereas more shops and restaurants may be closed around the winter holidays/

Travel Tips

  • Book your lodgings in advance if you’re picky about where you’ll be staying. Some cities will have high summer prices and limited options.
  • Smaller shops and restaurants won’t accept card so bring some cash with you.
  • Be aware of your surroundings, especially on public transit and crowded busses, as you may be targetted for pickpocketing!
